Marisol has previously been matched with 5th graders but all the matches have ended once the Littles move to 6th grade. This year she was matched with Little Brother Cade who is in 4th grade. Since last year, Cade’s classroom behavior has improved tremendously. Thank you Marisol for your hard work and consistency as a Big Sister.
Stephani Dobberstein has been matched with her Teen Sister Kathy since August 2013 in the DREAMR Program. Some matches don’t hit it off right away which happened to be the case for Stephani and Kathy. However, with Stephanie's commitment her persistence paid off. Only being a part of the DREAMR Program for a short time, there is significant changes to Kathy’s social skills.
The first day of school is so important. Unfortunately, many families are unable to afford the costs associated with returning to school. Thanks to generous donations from Soles4Souls, Rastaclat, and FN Platform, 300 young people, ages 6 – 18, started the school year with a new pair of shoes, bracelets, a backpack and school supplies.
