Dear Supporter,
January is a month of celebrations: National
Mentoring Month and the Martin Luther King, Jr.
Day of Service.
Dr. King sought to forge the common ground on
which people from all walks of life could join
together to address important community issues.
Service, he realized, was the great equalizer.
During this month, Big Brothers Big Sisters
recognizes the power of mentoring – an
invaluable service to our youth – that helps
them realize their potential and achieve their
dreams. Dr. King believed that everyone should
have the opportunity to live out their dreams.
You can honor the memory of Dr. King today by volunteering and sending
an ecard to Tell-a-Guy
about the need for Big Brothers and Big
Sisters.
Caring
and action make dreams come true.
Right now one of our greatest needs is for Big
Brothers, especially African-American men. And
you can help!
Here are some ways you can honor the memory of
Dr. King, and help a young person to grow up
strong and follow their dreams:
-
Volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters:

-
Help recruit men to be Big Brother for the
many boys who want and need a mentor:
