About the Donation Center

Donation Center of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada

The Donation Center was established in 1995 to assist Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada in becoming a self-sustaining organization and enable us to continue to serve and increase service to the children and families of southern Nevada.

We send our fleet of trucks across the Las Vegas valley six days a week and pick up gently used items at your doorstep—including clothing, coats, shoes, and small household items. The Donation Center turns these items into cash with 100% of the proceeds going to the site-based and community based programs we run.

The Donation Center has been picking up clothes since 1995, but Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada has been serving southern Nevada for over 35 years.

When you donate clothing and other items to the Donation Center, we distribute some items to our families who are in need and some items to other charities within the valley (Shade Tree Women’s Shelter, for instance). We then sell the bulk of your donations to Savers. Savers is a thrift store that partners with not-for-profits in the valley in order to help us meet our financial requirements. 100% of our net proceeds from our transactions with Savers goes to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada.
